Blogger Bridal Ideas: Reception Dress
THE RECEPTION DRESS
The reception dress is often a shorter, simpler, or all-around party dress. In her own article for Flare.com, Styleblog.ca’s Nelia Belkova writes that she just naturally fell in love with two separate dresses and had to have them both. Her second dress, she says, was free flowing, looked great with flats and her hair down, and allowed her to actually enjoy eating and dancing.
Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere also had a second, shorter dress for her reception. While her ceremony dress by Claire Pettibone rivaled the elegance of Kate Middleton’s fairy tale Alexander McQueen gown, her second dress, from BHLDN, was more akin to Marilyn Monroe’s infamous look from The Seven Year Itch, with its fun and sexy wrap style.
