Twobirds bridesmaid dresses: one dress over 15 ways

The multifunctional dress line opens a shop in Toronto

Being a bridesmaid typically means having to make sartorial sacrifices for the love of the bride-to-be. But what if there was a way to be a bridesmaid without having to forgo your individual style. The Twobirds dress collection has solved the bridesmaid dress debacle by offering multifunctional dresses that enable your close friends to put their own unique spin on your bridesmaid dress of choice. With a cult following in New York, Los Angeles, London and Sydney, Twobirds makes it’s Canadian debut with the opening of a boutique in Toronto this winter.

Inspired by Norma Kamali’s infamous infinity dress, the line consists of one single style—a silk jersey blend dress with ingenious bodice straps—that can be worn 15 different ways by simply wrapping, twisting and tying variations to create different necklines. The result is not only a unified bridal party look but also a new dress that style chameleons can manipulate to flatter their own figures and tastes, killing two birds with one dress—hence the name. The Toronto Boutique is slated to open this winter at 927 Queen Street West, but until then you can visit to see the full collection.
