Shoe-Turned-Cupcake Designer Patrick Cox Creates Royal Wedding Sweets

In our continued search for the coolest royal wedding merch, we were alerted to a new cupcake range created by shoe designer Patrick Cox.

Cox, an Edmonton native who moved to London, UK in 1983 and has worked with Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano, started a sweets business with patissier Eric Lanlard last year.

Cox Cookies and Cakes will have five royal-inspired cupcakes on sale in their London bakery (13 Brewer St.), all decorated in Cox’s signature OTT style. Flavours include the Queen Cake, an Earl Grey tea-flavoured cake topped with lemon frosting and a white chocolate portrait of Her Majesty, and the Crown Cake, a raspberry cupcake with purple frosting and a glittery sugar crown–surely more fun that the real thing.
