The beaded clutches that are synonymous with “having made it” — becoming a wardrobe staple among the fashionably clad and A-list celebrity set — are now ready to get hitched. The infamous and whimsical Judith Leiber minaudieres will soon be available for brides with the launch of the very first bridal collection this February. Brand President Mary Gleason explains that the label recognizes the importance of every woman’s big day and wanted to create something unique and special for brides, “weddings are the perfect way to introduce young women to our brand. Every bride remembers her wedding dress, shoes and bag and we wanted to be a part of that.”
Staying true to the brand’s elegant-yet-totally glam aesthetic, the collection features a range of minaudieres and clutches including styles in the shape of flower bouquets and a three-tiered wedding cake iced with the finest crystals and pearls. Crafted by hand and boasting the most precious materials complete with blue satin lining (perfect for your something blue), these bags are works of art and definitely worthy of a trip down the aisle. The pieces are priced between $995 and $7,000, and will be available exclusively at Hugo Nicholson in Toronto.
