The design wiz kid behind Michelle Obama’s white chiffon inaugural confection has catapulted to the top of the fashion world. Since launching his first collection in 2006 and outfitting the First Lady, the designer has developed a cult following among the Hollywood elite and fashion darlings everywhere. Now, the designer is ready to make his first venture into the world of bridal attire with a capsule collection available exclusively on Net-a-Porter. The line, which Wu describes as youthful, will consist of five ivory looks available in a range of lengths and styles—there are even some fabulous separates. From a traditional tulle frock to a modern beaded shift dress with a short hemline, the collection exudes a relaxed vibe that combines modern styles with traditional elements. The collection was born from constant requests from clients and friends to design bridal dresses for them, “this was my response to what the modern girl wants, pieces with a relaxed attitude that can be worn for other occasions” Wu stated. One thing is sure, this designer knows how to whip up a show-stopping gown and we’re certain these wedding frocks will be no exception.

Prices range from $995 to $5475, and the collection debuts in January exclusively at Net-a-Porter.
