
Eight years after introducing wedding gowns at Target, the innovative and quirky designer has returned to bridal. Starting today, his limited edition six-piece wedding collection will be available on members only website, The Aisle New York.
“The way I am going about it is breaking down that kind of purity and the final use of a wedding dress,” Mizrahi explains of his new online venture. “For a woman, a wedding gown is the most important thing she’ll wear in her life and on that day, she wants a dress of her own.”
The collection includes a one-shoulder tulle dress, gowns with three grosgrain belt options and even a silk floral-accented mini dress.
Dresses will retail for between US$2,200 to US$4,500 and will be housed in The Aisle’s first designer boutique. Mizrahi will also continue to create made-to-measure wedding dresses under his own label.
