For boho brides-to-be planning a nature-inspired affair, it doesn’t get more pastoral than a flower crown by Oh Dina Millinery. Founder Nicole McInnis, who studied fashion design and historical costuming and has seven years’ experience making vintage-inspired headpieces, hosts weekly flower-crown-making workshops ($30 for a two-hour session) in her downtown Halifax studio, as well as showers and bachelorette parties. For those outside of Halifax, McInnis also sells DIY flower crown kits ($30) containing everything you need (mulberry-paper flowers, silk leaves, greenery, twig wire) to make your own midsummer night’s dream come true.
