Question: I have rosacea and have a hard time finding a tinted moisturizer in the summer that will cover the redness and even out my skin tone. Any suggestions?
Answer: It’s important to remember that tinted moisturizers aren’t meant to provide the same kind of full coverage as a foundation or concealor. They’re ultra sheer and great for people batting a complexion that that hits out of the ballpark. They’re ideal for perking up an almost perfect visage versus covering up the redness of rosacea.
If evening out your complexion is your top priority, you will have to consider upgrading to a fuller coverage foundation that won’t irritate your skin. Don’t fret— modern foundations have a natural finish and fine-milled pigments that don’t feel heavy or look cakey, so you can still cheat a dewy complexion with fuller coverage makeup. I suggest experimenting with foundations and concealors from Physician’s Formula or CoverFx. They’re especially made for sensitive skin like yours.
