Many of Canada’s top fashion labels all started at the Toronto Fashion Incubator, a non-profit organization that fosters young design talent. On May 3, the TFI celebrates 25 years and you’re invited to the party! Enjoy an evening of glamour, hosted by songstress Jully Black, at the Royal Ontario Museum where you’ll dine amongst some of the industry’s finest as well as enjoy a fashion presentation highlighting 25 unique designs inspired by Barbie, each vying for the $10,000 prize.
The evening will close with a high stakes competition between four young design stars (picture Tyra saying “I have 4 portfolios in front of me…”). Jameson Kane (Toronto), Patrick L’Arrivee (Montreal), [blak] – i (Toronto) and Sid Neigum (Edmonton) will present their collections but only one will win the grand prize which includes a feature in FLARE, The Suzanne Rogers Award For Most Promising New Label valued at $25,000 and studio space sponsored by retail shop TNT.
