Question: I was just curious about the upcoming 2006 spring/summer colours? I know we are knee deep in winter, but it can’t hurt to look ahead, right?

Answer: Designers showed everything from cool white to jet black and lots of brights in between.

Beautiful colors such as fuschia, green, raspberry, magenta, and yellow saturated the runways at Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and MaxMara. Wear it as an accent (such as a great bag or heels) or go all out in a chic mini-dress.

White was a major trend on the runways especially at Chloe and Calvin Klein. It showed up as linen sheaths, frothy babydolls and ultra-lean pantsuits.

If white isn’t your choice, then go with a nude tone. It’s sexy and super-hot right now. A pretty floaty dress or monochromatic separates such as a camp shirt and a pair of short shorts will do the trick. Black is still popular but this season pair it with something white for a chic look.
