We love an equal opportunity fashion trend, so we were pleased to see that a number of celebs ditched their shirts and let their chests/breasts and even their pregnant bellies command attention on last night’s MTV VMAs red carpet.
On the men’s side, rapper Desiigner (aka Sidney Royel Selby III) wore a pale pink Maison Margiela suit with nothing underneath except for five artfully layered necklaces; Frankie Grande, Ariana’s half-brother/real life My Little Pony, donned his signature body glitter, which he paired with an equally sparkly blazer; And G-Eazy, who accompanied Britney Spears on the red carpet and on-stage during her “Make Me” performance, was technically wearing a shirt (a v. chic red velvet Western-inspired one), but he kept it unbuttoned, showing off a lean and hirsute torso underneath.

As for the girls, while Cassie’s show stopping combo of cleavage and flourescent bob drew stares, it was mom-to-be Laura Perlongo, fiancée of Catfish star Nev Schulman, who made the biggest shirtless statement of the evening by letting her baby bump protrude freely from under a silk bomber jacket.
