Tinseltown’s fashion flock seems to be trading in glitzy gowns in favour of menwear-inspired ensembles. A slew of statement-making style chameleons are suiting up and taking to the red carpet in looks borrowed from the boys. Leighton Meester started the menwear movement when she stepped out at the Gotham Independent Film Awards in a head-to-toe Thom Browne look, complete with a tie. Jessica Alba followed suit donning a Dolce and Gabbana number for the Footwear News Achievement Awards, although she scrapped her shirt to add a sultry touch. Wionna Ryder also dabbled in menswear, but with a gothic twist, for the Black Swan premiere clad in a Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci suit with silk lapels. And adding a little pizzazz to her boyish look, Halle Berry had a metallic moment in an embroidered Balmain suit. What do you think about the androgynous angle these ladies are working? Will you be suiting up for your next holiday soiree?
