This isn’t your average mall.

Last night in Toronto, Yorkdale Shopping Centre (3401 Dufferin Street) officially opened its new wing filled with 29 shops featuring a top roster of international labels from New York’s Loft to France’s L’Occitane. The glossy halls and sky high ceilings were met with pro-shoppers (aka editors!) who popped into each destination scouting out all things new. Here are our highlights from the top shops at Yorkdale:

Kate Spade New York: The ultra pretty and preppy label from the Big Apple landed on Canadian soil last night opening up a petite flagship filled with electric essentials for the girl on the go. Classics get an off-beat quirky spin at Spade, from bedazzled berets to glittered out pumps.

Club Monaco
: The once Canadian label tricked out their new location with vintage finds and custom art from across North America to compliment their old-meets-new-meets-gotta have collection fit for holiday and beyond. Cashmere everything, look-at-me jewels and gold details were just a few of glimmering details that caught our eye. We’ll definitely be back for more! Oh, and after a two year hiatus menswear returns to the label’s Yorkdale outpost.

Ted Baker London: When the tasty treats (by Toronto’s Parts & Labour) are just as good as your tailored goods you know you’ve got us singing praise. From the topsy turvy plates on the ceiling to rotating racks all around, the label’s first Canadian flagship had us impressed from the get go. Velvet details, the prettiest peplums and a strong assortment of leather wonders rounded out Baker’s offering of sophisticated (not stodgy) suit separates.

Loft and Ann Taylor: Whether you’re shopping for mom or yourself, the two new sky high shops were filled to the brim with workwear and weekend-ready finds fit for any budget. From sequins galore at Loft to snow leopard prints at Ann Taylor, the sister labels were buzzing on both end of the mall last night with sweet beats and delicious drinks.

L’Occitane: The luxury bath and body label scored the coveted corner spot with a double entrance to their new Canadian flagship location. From a ceiling high wooden tree (yes, literally!) filled with petite hand creams to a glowing “sun” wrapped in Immortelle flowers hanging from above, the skincare line certainly raised the roof (and the bar) when it came to outdoing all the others.

Think over-the-top and extra special experiences when it comes to shopping at Yorkdale this holiday season. The centre’s new wing also includes: Anthropologie, Diesel, Wilfred Boutique by Aritzia, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Lululemon, Apple (in 2013), Holt Renfrew (in 2013) and All Saints (in 2013). Rounding out the fashion favourites include: Microsoft, Telsa Motors, Mappins, Starbucks, Telus, Bell, Bluenotes, Champs, Papyrus, Joey Grill & Lounge, the North Face, Best Buy Mobile, David’s Tea,  Rolex at Raffi Jeweller and Ta-ze.
