As Toronto braced for its biggest snowstorm of the year, WWF-Canada (World Wildlife Fund) kicked off its first ever Sweater Day with a runway show featuring a gaggle of celebrity models and media at hip new downtown Toronto hangout, The Ballroom.

Pre-show, the atmosphere was relaxed: models chatted backstage and nibbled on appetizers while stylist Alanna Davey buzzed around the room putting the final touches on each outfit. Once the show started however, the ladies (and one gentleman) put on their game faces and stomped it out on the bowling lanes-cum-runway for a terrific cause.

The show, which was held to promote awareness about energy consumption, included Flare’s very own Erin O’Brien, who rocked a black and grey pullover by Dace with thigh-high socks and sky-high heels.  From singer Suzie McNeil (in a Lucian Matis paillettes pullover) to bestselling author Gill Deacon (wearing a Zoran Dobric black sweater dress with a ribbon-and-studs appliqué), each model donned a one-of-a-kind sweater designed especially for the event.
