Cut It Out
Blame it on the recent resurgence of the 90's: the midriff is kind of back in a big way. But by no means do you need to attempt to test the limits of your office dress code by donning a crop top to your cubicle. The cut-out serves as a slightly sneakier, less overt way of baring it all while still easily elevating warm weather dressing. From subtle shoulder slits to discreet side panels, the notion that cut-outs are resigned to the realm of the festival-ready is no longer. Instead, cut-outs have been cropping up the kind of pieces we've spent the better half of the last six months fantasizing about: pretty printed rompers, short, summer-ready dresses, the works.
Similarly, while size should by no means keep you from trying any trend, there's an array of alternatives for those looking to keep things a little more under wraps. Look for structured blouses and button-downs with shoulder and collarbone cut-outs, or more pristine and polished pencil skirts with punched-out panelling.
