Canadian influencers Alanna Durkovich and Gracie Carroll set out on a rainy morning to shop in Glasgow’s City Centre, which has the best high-end shopping in the UK outside of London. First stop, William Chambers Millinery, a mostly made-to-order shop that supplies residents and tourists with a variety of v. traditional, yet modern, hats and fascinators.
Next stop, Timorous Beasties, where they discover that tartan textiles are big in the home decor industry, aiming to connect people to Scotland through vivid and bold materials and prints. Last on their list, a stop at menswear shoppe Abandon Ship, a frank and cheeky label, with a mantra to “drink beer, have fun, [and] make clothes.”
Speaking of beer, the last stop of the day for Gracie and Alanna was Drygate Brewery Co., the UK’s first experiential craft brewery, where they enjoyed a few pints, in perfect Scottish fashion.
