Skechers launches a shoe donation program

The shoe company plans to donate over one million pairs by the end of 2011

While most shoe splurges result in a guilty conscience, here is a line of footwear that you can feel good about slipping into. Sketchers has created a new collection of canvas slip-ons called BOBS, which stands for Benefitting Others By Shoes, and for every pair sold the company will donate two pairs to children in need through the Soles4Souls
shoe charity. “As a global leader in the footwear industry, we have the network and the resources to make a difference in the lives of millions of children through the BOBS program,” said Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers. With a goal of donating more than one million pairs of shoes by the end of 2011, this is definitely a cause we can get behind. Visit for more details.
