Brit sensation Lily Allen has teamed up with her sister, Sarah Owen, for her design debut. Though the duo’s first foray into fashion came last year with the launch of their Lucy in Disguise vintage store in London, they are now expanding into ready-to-wear. (Allen also paired with Brit high street chain New Look for a capsule collection in 2007.)
Inspired by the fictional ‘Lucy,’ Allen describes their muse as “a time-traveling fashionista who’s inviting you to explore her wardrobe.”
With the help of former Alfred Dunhill creative director and new LVMH menswear style director, Nadia Jones, the sisters are merging their favourite details from the best vintage pieces they’ve found. The line includes ’40s-style dresses and flapper-inspired beading and sequins, as well as high-waisted maxi-dresses in a signature lily of the valley print. Retail prices will range from US$175 to $630 and will hit Shopbop.com in June.
