Many of us have ventured to Montreal to do a little (or a lot) of shopping and there’s no doubt that Simons is usually at the top of our list. Now, the multi-brand department store is heading to Edmonton to open up their first out-of-province location at West Edmonton Mall on October 17. Designed by architect Lemay Michaud and Figure 3, the modern shopping destination will include all of the retailer’s contemporary finds for men, women and children as well as decor for the home. Not familiar to the label? Consider it your go-to for ready-to-work essentials and on-trend affordable thrills.
Alongside Simons’ offering of Missoni, Balmain and Paul Smith (to name a few!), the department store has also commissioned an impressive art installation by Canadian architect Philip Beesley. Metal aquatic-inspired creations will hang from the ceiling echoing the movement of motion on water.
