With a collection titled ‘Bird of Paradise’ designer Wesley Badanjak certainly flaunted his feathers at last night’s presentation for Lovas. Held inside the intimate studio space, the young label opened with a geometric print frock paired with an unexpected headdress. Inspired by a recent trip to the Caribbean, the designer attempted to blend his vacation memories with accessible daywear, fit for the mass market.
From feathery bird eye make-up to touristy turquoise jewellery, Badanjak’s Pocahontas meets Swiss Miss collection certainly resonated with those seeking to bring a hint (a very, very small hint) of the beach to the boardroom.
