Sisters Chloé and Parris Gordon had clearly embraced the airy mood of spring for their latest Chloé comme Parris collection, which was a marked departure from fall’s tough-as-nails looks. The now-signature details were still there, however – precise tailoring notched-up by cutouts, slits and apron-waist details. Straps and beaded harnesses anchored ethereal dresses and a wide-legged pant.
Overall, the mood was light – milky pastels and earthy tribal prints brought youthfulness to their Victorian inspiration (also not a first for the designers). But there was a sophistication to it – particularly in the structured jackets, a white textured trouser and a skin-hugging midi skirt. And ultimately the buzzy atmosphere said it all: these young up-and-comers are ones to watch.
