Christina Gooding, 26, is a head-turning actor and producer based in Vancouver. When she’s not in front of the camera—or working her magic behind it—this cool creative can be found beachside. Boasting a breezy style best described as music-festival chic, Gooding shares her West Coast essentials.
Summer style: “Summer style for me is about bright colors, empire dresses and fun shorts. On my wish list- Chanel vintage sunglasses, everyday high-waisted light denim shorts (to replace the ones I wore out last summer), and a navy and white bikini.”
Boutique pick: “My favourite clothing store is The Block for the most unique brands in Vancouver. And Gravity Pope for shoes because they’re high quality, stylish and comfy.”
Weekend treat: “The best brunch spot is Medina café…It reminds me of brunch in N.Y.C.” Check out its brick room, hanging industrial lights and delicate dishes such as waffles with chocolate lavender sauce.
Hair care: “I entrust my hair to Jon Paul Holt and Linda Greben at Avant Garde in Yaletown.”
Signature scent: “Jo Malone Red Roses Cologne and Indian rose oil.”
Wish list: “On my wish list: Chanel vintage sunglasses, high-waist light denim shorts and a navy and white bikini.”
Favourite bijoux: “Most of my jewelry has been handed down from my Mom. I’d say the pieces from the 70’s are what define my look–bangles and layered necklaces with pieces from all over the world. And of course my Rhodeus Classic Rose Ring, which was also a gift from the designer, Rochelle Goldberg.”
Guilty pleasure: “My guilty pleasures are high heels, because I’m not allowed to wear them due to an injury, and elegant dresses because I love to dress up for any occasion!”
Big buy: “My best fashion splurge was my pair of Vera Wang thigh high boots.”
