Best model-creeping moment
After sneaking in late to the Giles show, where big names like Anna Cleveland (Pat’s daughter), Edie Campbell, Jessica Stam, Lily Donaldson and Kendall Jenner walked, I parked myself where the models were exiting the runway and waiting impatiently to walk the finale. Here I witnessed Lily being shushed about 20 times while the girls all giggled in their dramatically ruffled collars and capes. Kendall, however, was staring at the wall looking awkward and alone. None of the other girls seemed to be acknowledging her existence. Maybe those bullying rumours are true, after all?
Most distracting front-row fixtures
Competing for my attention with the whipstitched patchwork and mirror embroideries that bad up Christopher Bailey’s dreamy collection: Maggie Gyllenhaal, Sam Smith, Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, Kate Moss, Mario Testino and the incomparable Naomi Campbell singing and bopping along to Clare Maguire’s rendition of “My Sweet Lord,” complete with choir.
Most shocking discovery
One of my favourite jewellery designers, Delfina Delettrez, has chopped her hair off to reveal a gecko tattoo on the back of her neck… I’m hoping she forgot it was there.
Best atmosphere
Erdem’s elaborate set looked like it was ripped from an Alfred Hitchcock film.
Best nod to the ’80s
J.W. Anderson thinks the ’80s are cool, so I think the ’80s are cool. P.S I’ve been listening to The Human League on repeat ever since.
Most innovative design
These parkas at Mary Katrantzou combined plastic, patent leather, crystal appliqués, foam(!!) and probably some materials that were invisible to the naked eye. OBSESSED!
Best after-party
Sharing Oscars red-carpet commentary with Ken Downing and Justin O’Shea had my cheeks hurting from the LOLs.
