Rodarte has embarked on a wide-reaching collaboration with uber-cool retailer Opening Ceremony. The masterminds behind many stellar designer projects, Opening Ceremony’s has a knack for striking collaboration gold and this is no exception. This time round, Rodarte brings their signature artful approach to a more accessible collection, and their shredded knits and fanciful frocks will not disappoint. The collection is a bit more subdued and bohemian than their standard runway offerings but it is unmistakably the work of the Mulleavy sisters. WWD describes the looks as being “more whimsical and temperate of design” and “less aggressive, dark and fantastical.” One thing that remains the same, the artisanal quality of their work does not come cheap, with prices ranging from US$250 to US$2,200. The collection will be carried at 40 retailers across the globe and will be offered exclusively in Canada at Holt Renfrew in their World Design Lab. The full collection can be viewed at openingceremony.us.
