The Young Patrons' Circle annual fête was a film noir affair

On March 27th, the Young Patrons’ Circle–that savvy group of social mavens and future moguls–staged PROM V: Noir at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto.  As expected, it was a darkly chic soirée to remember.  Dapper gentlemen in velvet smoking jackets, waistcoats and bow ties cut a clean line, while elegant swans swished their feathers in floor-skimming gowns.  Soft Veronica Lake waves and ruby lips were reminiscent of the golden film age on quite a few femmes.  With everyone so darkly clad, it was a tad tricky to find your date.  Co-host Jessi Cruickshank had the right idea.  MTV Canada’s perennial hostess with the mostest was our pick for best dressed in an imperial red one-shouldered vintage YSL number.  Her partner in crime, Dan Levy, went debonair in a black suit and skinny tie straight out of Tom Ford’s A Single Man.  We also loved the sparkling midnight frock, hot of the Greta Constantine runway, donned by eTalk’s Tanya Kim.  Amongst a sea of noir characters, these bright young things certainly stood out.
