Those Puma creepers Rihanna Instagrammed just hours ago? Consider them a sneak peek into her new partnership with Puma, which was officially announced today. The singer has been named as the new global ambassador for women’s training and will serve as creative director of the women’s division.

It’s not the first time Riri has taken on a creative director role–she co-designed sold-out collections for River Island in 2012 and 2013, and collaborated with M.A.C on a capsule makeup collection. Her RiRi Woo lipstick has been hoarded by beauty junkies since its release.

“Rihanna’s global profile, her charisma and individuality, her ambition—all these things make her a perfect ambassador for our brand. She also aligns perfectly with the values Puma strives for: to be confident, brave, determined and joyful,” says Bjørn Gulden, Puma CEO.

If her new creepers are any indication of the direction Rihanna will be taking Puma, then consider us fans already. They’re a perfect mix of street and sport, with a dash of ’90s charm.
