Real Ballerina Style
Do ballet dancers really wear Rodarte? With the current Black Swan mania on both the red carpet and the runway at Chloé, Rochas and Erdem, we staged a style investigation with three of The National Ballet of Canada’s en pointe ballerinas. While they were in the midst of intensive rehearsals for the opening of Don Quixote on March 9 (visit national.ballet.ca for tickets), principal dancer Bridgett Zehr, first soloist Tina Pereira and corps de ballet member Krista Dowson allowed us to snap their rehearsal and off-duty style. The result? Their incomparable poise transfers effortlessly from center stage to the street.
