Miuccia Prada is the Queen of the retro redux and Prada’s newest Swing collection of sunglasses is no exception. After a stellar Fall line of 50’s ladylike looks — so good, we put it on our September cover — Signora Prada has just introduced a new line of offbeat cat-eyes inspired by the Jazz era. The best part? Prada Swing is clearly a modernist’s version of a throwback look. While less creative minds might go the expected route with vintage-looking specs, Prada updated retro to 3.0 with futuristic versions of the catty shade. The new campaign, shot by Steven Meisel, features a mix of graphic plaid frocks, extreme bouffants and slanted sunglasses in one white-hot look. Truly made in the shade.
Prada “Swing” acetate cat-eye sunglasses, $245 each. At Sunglass Hut stores.
