A quick nod to Ali Mokhtarian of Valerio Moda who showed a well-made selection of men’s leather jackets. Unfortunate for us ladies who didn’t get to see his beautiful women’s pieces but the men’s fare was enough to pique our imagination. With a focus on made-to-measure, it’s easy to see the refined fit and workmanship that go into Mokhtarian’s designs. Soft and supple leathers and suedes with seamless drape and fit in the arms and torso are testament to his knowledge and experience with the textile. Of note was the safari-inspired khaki jacket with plaid lining, his pale grey suede and leather bomber which nicely contrasted soft and sleek, and his interpretation of the classic brown leather aviator jacket with elasticized waist band.
