We have come to expect urbane, eye-catching coats from Soïa & Kyo each season, and yesterday’s show didn’t disappoint. Founded in 2004, the Montreal-based outerwear label is designed by Ilan Elfassy, whose family has been involved in the fashion business for years (his brother Eran runs Mackage!).
For fall, Elfassy told us that he was “inspired by soft metal with liquid...[and] the contrast between hard and soft,” which he explored through his choice of textiles and colour palette. “In the collection you can see charcoal grey and the warm colours, and we blend them together,” explains Elfassy.
