“JOE JOE JOE” read the gold lettering running down the t-shirt of one of the male models at last night’s Joe Fresh fall show. The refrain felt familiar and of-the-moment, likely because it’s not far off from the coverage and hype Joe Fresh and its inimitable leader Joe Mimran have been getting for their recent spread southward, opening at 681 JC Penney doors last Friday. Yet, in designing this collection, Mimran skipped the obvious Americana reference and turned his focus on another locale: the streets of 1990s Paris.
