Toronto Fashion Week: Matis by Lucian Matis Fall 2013
For the Fall 2013 Matis collection, Lucian stuck to what has worked in previous seasons, with a few new treats. In terms of knitwear, there was everything from skirts to full suits — a different, more fun approach to the everyday working woman’s go-to for fall. There were a parade of prints that came down the runway, including floral and an almost zebra tye-dye-esque print. The final looks, in the tartan pattern, stood out the most. The jumper was a piece that gave a fresh appeal, and the final peasant style gown is a touch too much for the average gal, no need to worry — Lucian provided his classic piece, the shift dress, in an array of fabrics and colours, leather-detailed sleeves, peplums and jackets to match.
