The designer shows ended on day three with Eva Chen and an elegant assortment of ball gowns, cocktail dresses, and bridal, all alive with feathers and jewels. Chen’s first look was a full-length skirt covered in rosette appliqué that picked up as a bandeau. The interesting contrast was the exposed boning covered in black net across the midriff. We got a sense of Chen’s sense of humour when a similar look emerged in a bridal version. Tongue and cheek designs aside, Chen chose a lovely palette of blacks, peach, antique rose, and mauve to create all manner of evening wear bedecked in an array of plumes – ostrich, black with green highlights, mauve, and dainty beige trimmed in brown.
