Paul Andrew pumps, $1095, available on TheSeptember.com
Attention Canadian shoppers: There’s a new website in town! Today marks the launch of The September, a new e-commerce site that sells high-end designer footwear. Shoes and shoes only. The revolutionary thing about The September, however, is something any other Canadian online shopping aficionado will notice right away: No duty, no shipping, no surprise costs at checkout.

Aquazzura sandals, $595, available on TheSeptember.com
You already know I’m obsessed with shoes: They are my credit card kryptonite. (Check my interviews with Tabitha Simmons and Paul Andrew for more stiletto-laced musings.) I’ve never been one to shy away from online shopping, either, and have purchased a number of pairs online, from Alexander Wangs to Givenchys (which, devastatingly, are a size too small—I shove my tootsies in anyway).

Founders Aynsley Wintrip Harris (left) and Christine Carlton
Friends Christine Carlton and Aynsley Wintrip Harris, who formerly worked for Holt Renfrew and Four Seasons, respectively, founded the site. Let’s just say they know a thing or two about luxury. At launch the site boasts a designer roster that includes Valentino, Michael Kors, Brian Atwood and Aquazzura (as well as our old friend Paul Andrew) with plans to expand and add new labels all the time. (May I suggest Gianvito Rossi, Proenza Schouler, Givenchy and Acne? Celine, perhaps?) If you’re a shoe girl—and really, who isn’t?—watch this space.
