With over four million women shopping on Net-a-Porter.com, it comes as no surprise that Natalie Massenet, chairman and founder, has launched a new interactive tool on the website that connects all shoppers to one live social platform.
The new site, titled Net-a-Porter Live, pinpoints all active users on a world map as they fill their shopping bags and wish lists with the most covetable finds in fashion. Inspired by the plasma screens decked throughout their London offices (seen below in a video produced by the Business of Fashion), Massenet reveals a modified version of their sales for the world to see. Accompanying the map is a feed of finds and locations, giving trend followers a global view of what one wears, anywhere in the world.
“Seeing which items are being selected by other customers creates an excitement around certain products, and further to that, we expect that offering the ability to share these choices with others will turn into a powerful selling tool that will be unleashed worldwide,” says Massenet.
