Montreal Style Diary: Jane & Rye, All In Eyewear & Le Cagibi

Blogger Gabrielle Lacasse, our Montreal localist-at-large, shares the best shops, restaurants, events and style news from La Belle Ville

Le Cagibi
If I had to pick one cool place to work on my laptop during the day in Mile End, it would have to be Le Cagibi. The vegetarian café has plants everywhere, books you can borrow and the best chili in town. It also hosts live music during the week, which is great if you feel like discovering a new band.

Jane & Rye
Jewellery maker Jane & Rye recently released a new collection at Appartement 200. The place was full of good-looking people, and they even had a mojito bar. I snapped a few Polaroids from the event but ended up giving them to my friends as mementos; instead, here are two of my favourite pieces from the brand.

Market flowers
You know spring is just around the corner when local florists are selling peonies and tulips, my two favourite flowers. Those ones are from the Victoria Square market, where I picked up a few to bring home.

All In Eyewear
Spring means sunglasses shopping, obviously. Since we have so many great local designers here, I always look for made-in-Montreal accessories. This year, I’ll be sporting these two babies from All In Eyewear. They fit like a dream and make any outfit instantly cool.
