Michelle Obama wears a $35 dress on the Today Show

The First Lady continues to make accessible fashion choices by stepping out in fast fashion retailer H&M

by

Michelle Obama’s approach to fashion is that she simply wears what she loves, and apparently the First Lady likes H&M. For her appearance on the Today Show yesterday, Mrs. Obama surprised us yet again by wearing $34.95 polka-dot dress from the Swedish retailer. The First Lady added her own touch to the playful frock by having her stylist add custom sleeves—a safe choice considering what a stir her bare arms have caused—and some signature pops of colour in the form of a vibrant orange belt and electric yellow heels. Though Obama has often worn J.Crew, we really never expected to see the First Lady of the United States going quite so fast fashion but her accessible fashion choices continue to make us take notice.

Michelle Obama’s polka-dot dress is currently available at Canadian H&M stores for $39.95.
