This summer, the twins’ latest venture, StyleMint.com is set to launch. StyleMint will offer a personalized shopping experience (sort of like a wine-of-the-month club) with some pieces even designed by the fashionistas themselves.
“Online commerce is the perfect medium for us to create a new brand that is as much about the clothing as it is about the customer experience,” said Ashley Olsen at an in-store appearance earlier this week.
StyleMint is the second partnership with BeachMint, which launched in October with JewelMint.com, a jewelry-of-the-month club affiliated with actress Kate Bosworth. Like JewelMint, a site which sells jewelry at US$29.99 an item with personalized monthly recommendations, StyleMint’s debut women’s t-shirt collection will similarly retail for US$29.99.
All shoppers must sign up as members and take short style quizzes that will tailor their purchase suggestions, which they can then share with friends on Facebook and Twitter. The first collection will be available in July and feature cotton tees, with plans to expand into knits and sweaters over time.
