Canada will soon be smitten by Louis Vuitton as the French fashion house launched its freshly redesigned website and online store this past Monday. No longer will style-hungry shoppers need to trek to the nearest Holt Renfrew or Louis Vuitton store (or face the wrath of out-of-country shipping costs) to soothe their luxury fix; Canadians can now shop LV while sitting at home (or even while on the bus).
Available in both French and English, the highly interactive website has been divided into five departments, with the main focus being the online store. Aside from shopping, other areas to explore include the brand’s digital magazine, which can be found under News. Visitors can step into the World of Louis Vuitton for an in-depth look at the brand from craftsmanship to store architecture. The site also offers store information and a personalized area for customers called My LV.
Aside from desktop shopping, the house did a full overhaul on the mobile website as well. In celebration of the redesigned websites, the malletier (literally, trunk maker in French, so chic n’est ce pas?) has produced an animated short that embraces the true aesthetic of Louis Vuitton while capturing the essence of Canadiana.
FLARE is the first to reveal the video in a Canadian exclusive.Watch the pop-art-meets-Tin-Tin animated short below:
