Hit or Miss: Louis Vuitton's Latest Bag Collection Has Us Talking

Love it or hate it, you can't deny the Louis Vuitton and Jeff Koons collection is buzzy af

At first glance, they look a bit like the tote your mom got from the Louvre gift shop on your family trip to Paris, but wait—these handbags featuring artworks by the Old Masters are much chicer than that canvas carryall.

The Louis Vuitton and Jeff Koons “Masters” collab is already creating a stir and it’s not out until the end of the month. The collection of handbags and silk scarves features Koons’ reproductions of famous paintings—such as da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and Rubens’ Tiger, Lion and the Leopard Hunt—with the O.G. artist’s name emblazoned in gold or silver block letters, the classic LV logo (plus a new JK logo) and a Koons-inspired hangtag in the shape of his famous Inflatable Bunny.

Around the FLARE office, there’s little consensus as to whether these bags are totally covetable—or just way too kitschy to spend a couple months’ rent on (they range from $880 to $4,000 USD). Scroll through the gallery below, and you be the judge.
