Forget about fancy buns and French twists, this season the hottest new coif that is sweeping Hollywood is the pixie cut and Emma Watson has mastered it. We were eager to see how she would work her new do on the red carpet in London for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1. Thankfully, the actress’s premiere ensembles were in the good hands of stylist Caroline Siber, a Chanel beauty muse and frequent subject of Flare’s Tommy Ton. Sieber coaxed Watson to juxtapose her pixie with sophisticated, overtly feminine looks.
Stepping out with her co-stars for a promotional event at Claridges in London, the actress upped her glamour game in a one-sleeved velvet Vionnet number. Deep rouge lips finished the look, but we could have done without the bronze charm necklace and earrings, which felt old on young Emma. Instead, her best accessory was a respectful poppy in honour of Remembrance Day.
In her next look, Watson hit all the right style marks. In a vintage lace and feathered Rafael Lopez frock, she made a roaring ‘20’s statement. And those Charlotte Olympia pumps lifted her look to near flawless.
