London is the shortest stop on the biannual fashion week circuit, but its still chock full of exciting new labels, celebrity-packed presentations (Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne and FKA twigs all made appearances) and a handful of amazing A-list bashes. Up-and-coming talents like Molly Goddard and Ryan Lo (of Fashion East and NEWGEN, respectively) are top draws for their unapologetically frilly, bright and eclectic designs. But this season, even more buzz surrounded mega-diffusion labels MM6 Maison Margiela and Versus Versace, which showed in town for the first time, underscoring the city’s rising international influence. Of the more established resident designers, highlights included Erdem’s “prairie madness” floral dresses, Christopher Kane’s neon patchwork party and Simone Rocha’s Kyoto-inspired plastic-meets-silk collection.
