Liz Cabral, FLARE‘s Fashion Director, shares her tips on staying sane and in style during the jam packed days ahead at Milan Fashion Week Spring 2012. Here are her fashion week secrets:

Morning kick : “Usually coffee at my hotel and I run around the corner and get a toastie, which is what they call a grilled cheese and ham sandwich. I eat far too many of those during fashion week.”

Must-shop spot
: “If I can fit it in, I adore Corso Como. I love the aesthetic there. The store is just as beautiful as the clothes. They have a fantastic restaurant, they also have a courtyard, it’s definitely a place to see even if you’re not shopping.”

Rest and recharge: “Milan has a little bit more of a civilized schedule so I usually recharge at dinner.”

After dark drink: “My hotel lobby. I don’t venture out much further than that.”

Beauty bag essential : “It’s not really a beauty essential but more of a health thing. I take this herbal cocktail that fights jet lag and colds. It has echinacea, vitamin C, and other stuff and I just take that basically the whole time I’m there. There’s no doubt that by the end of the second city you’ll be zonked so it’s a major essential.”

Designer favourite
: “Well Prada is always fantastic. It’s always a super cool show. But I’ve also really grown to love the Emilio Pucci show. They have it in this old romantic building and I think Peter Dundas is really doing an amazing job there.”
