Morning kick: One of the great things about Europe is that breakfast is included at the hotel. I review my schedule over a pain au chocolat and cappuccino.

Must-shop spot: I love exploring the rue Grenelle (close to the Bon Marché) where many of the top footwear designer boutiques are located – Christian Louboutin, for one. I also search out a few new stores every visit. This season I want to check out the new Céline boutique. I’m always inspired by Colette.

Rest and recharge: I recharge by checking out any new museum exhibits. In past years, I’ve seen fantastic exhibits by Patrick Demarchelier (at the Petit Palais) and Valentino (at the Musée de la Mode in the Louvre). The best thing though is to sit in a café and watch all of the fashion people go by. Paris Fashion Week really is street style at its very best.

Drinks after dark
: Wherever my last show of the night is! And that can be anywhere. I do make sure I stop by the Hemingway Bar in the Ritz. Last year, I saw Karl Lagerfeld and his posse there.

BFF (Best fashion friends)
: A highlight is dinner with Anthea Simms, FLARE‘s London-based photographer who has been shooting the runways for us for almost 30 years! She has lots of amazing stories and supervises a young team of photographers (backstage, front row, street style) who work around the clock. Plus, I always check out the British Designer Showcase that is right by my hotel. It’s a great place to catch up with designers such as Erdem and Todd Lynn.

Beauty bag essential: Gel foot pads!! I RUN from one show to the next during Fashion Week. Car service is too slow so I jump on the Metro. I go through a couple of packages of foot pads.

Fashion repeat: I rely upon my super-comfortable Prada motorcycle boots. I wear them on the plane and slip them on when my feet can’t take another second in heels.

Designer favourite: That’s so hard to pick! I always breathe a huge sigh of relief when my invitations from Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Balenciaga arrive.
