Leave it to Canadian-born accessories designer Lara Vincent to serve up an ultra-romantic pumpkin design with a dark little twist. “The pumpkin is named MarieMe. She’s inspired from the Czech new wave film from ’66 called Daisies,” shared Vincent who took up our challenge while in New York. “It’s a film about two girls names Marie I and Marie II who like to misbehave and play tricks on older men, they call ‘sugar daddy’. They wear flowers in their hair and love to stuff their faces with yummy sweets,” making this orange sensation far from sugary sweet.

While Holt’s went pink and Joe Fresh went graphic and the Beckerman’s went gangbusters for the Ghostbusters, Vincent’s floral arrangement (thanks to flowers from her fiancé) round-out of first ever pumpkin challenge. Expect to find the designer trotting around the city on Halloween dressed in her signature cat ears.
