Kim Gordon, Carrie Brownstein, and Kenzo—could there be a more stacked fashion combo? After working with legends like David Lynch and cult director Gregg Araki, Kenzo’s Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have conscripted rock goddesses Kim Gordon and Carrie Brownstein to lead their latest video foray into cool.

Gordon will take a lead role on-camera in the short film called The Realest Real, alongside actors Laura Harrier, Mahershala Ali, Natasha Lyonne and Rowan Blanchard (plus puppies!). Putting her Portlandia writing and directing skills to good use, Brownstein will helm the project off-camera to explore the “the fickle and instant world of the internet.” What that entails exactly remains to be seen, but based on Gordon and Brownstein’s pedigree alone, we can’t imagine it won’t be hilarious and badass (and v. stylish). The Realest Real will premiere on Monday, September 12th during New York Fashion Week.
