What began as a small protest of an increasingly throw-away society, Danielle Wilmore and Wade Papin’s jewellery line, Pyrrha, has grown into an international brand with an enormous following of fans and celebs (Brad Pitt, Chloë Sevigny and Reese Witherspoon all own a seal). They continue to line the shelves of their own boutique in West Hollywood along with A-list stores like Fred Segal, Liberty of London, United Arrows and Paul Smith, just to name drop a few.
This fall, the label introduces a line of 18-karat yellow gold pieces that compliment their collection. The 18-karat gold fits easily with their mainstays of silver and bronze, as well as their existing 14-karat yellow and rose gold pieces. The more ornate designs will feature Tahitian pearls, white and coloured diamonds, and rutilated quartz.
The neo-romantic-cum-rocker feel of the wax-seal inspired medallions still resonates in these items; the leap into fine jewellery is simply an extension of their mission to create enduring pieces that will be passed on from one generation to the next.
