This week in “breaking news everyone already knows,” Raf Simons is officially Chief Creative Officer at Calvin Klein. Rumours, which began swirling immediately after Simons left Dior last October, were kiiiind of confirmed in April when women’s fashion director Francisco Costa and men’s fashion director Italo Zucchelli both left the brand, and pretttty much confirmed again in June when Calvin Klein (the man) told Andy Cohen of Sirius XM, “they won’t announce [who it is] publicly because it’s under contract. But the whole industry knows.”

Over the past few months Calvin Klein has been working towards unifying all of its brands under one singular vision. Enter Simons, who will oversee everything from the runway collection to the underwear ads to the home offerings. The designer is known for his modern minimalist aesthetic and perfectionist ways (if you haven’t seen Dior and I, now would be a good time to watch) so we’re looking forward to seeing where he takes the iconic American label. Fall ’17 will be his first collection so keep your eyes on the runway next February!
