From illustrated to painterly, artful prints are summer’s standout trend. The best way to wear them? Mashed up and with wild abandon. For further proof of their appeal, witness FLARE fashion intern Chloe Wise‘s take on the style flourish. When we commented on her lovely mixed-print ensemble, the budding artist quickly whipped up a watercolor version of the Cacharel runway that inspired her en pointe sartorialism.

“As a painter and lover of colour and patterns, playing with prints is one of my favorite summer looks,” says Wise, who picked up her outfit from the online Etsy boutique she oversees, Naughty Mess Vintage. “I’m always drawn to printed finds like this sheer check blouse and floral dress for their unique retro appeal. I love drawing and donning this look- art and fashion are a match made in heaven!”
