How to Stock Your Bar
By Miss Martini

Ask some of the sales representatives at the liquor store for help. There are lots of options to fit within any budget and you don’t have to break the bank to cover all of the bases. These are just some of Miss Martini’s suggestions for a very well stocked household and you may certainly omit or downsize some of the selections on this list.

• 4 bottles of red wine
• 3 bottles of white wine
• 3 bottles of sparkling wine or Champagne (depending on your budget)
• 1 vodka
• 1 rye
• 1 rum
• 1 gin
• 1 scotch
• 1 tequila or bourbon
• Beer – get something made in Canada eh!
• 1 liqueur to offer with coffee or as a digestive

There are lots of sinfully creamy treats at the liquor store or a nice cognac always warms the bones.

Have a selection of mix: cola, diet cola, lemon/lime soda, tonic, soda water, ginger ale, cranberry juice, orange juice, pineapple & grapefruit juice.

Print off some favourite Drink Recipes and keep them handy.

An extra bag of ice in the freezer – if you have enough ice you won’t need to keep all of the pop in the fridge. Don’t forget that if you are in a chilly climate like most of us Canucks are you can always use your backyard or patio as a natural ice- box.
